Anna Kendrick recently revealed that she hasn’t been flirted with since 2009. The multi-talented 28-year-old actress and singer mentioned that the last time she can remember being hit on was when she starred in the Oscar-nominated film Up in the Air at the age of 23. In a humble manner, Kendrick stresses that she is grateful for her success and is not concerned that her looks played a significant role in her achievements.
60’s icon Anna Kendrick, known for her roles in Twilight and Pitch Perfect, revealed that she hasn’t been approached by a guy in four years, ever since her appearance in the popular film Up in the Air in 2009. She recently ended a four-year relationship with director and producer Edgar Wright and has not been publicly linked to anyone since then. Kendrick also shared her experiences of coming into her own as a woman later in her teenage years, recalling how her late blooming allowed her to avoid worrying whether boys were only interested in her physical appearance. She jokingly added that she wouldn’t have minded if guys were attracted to her solely because of her breasts.
Solid guidance: Additionally, she shared about her experience as a ‘late bloomer’ during her teenage years, a situation that her mother saw as a positive thing.
Bunny adoration: The famous celebrity looks absolutely stunning in the fashion shoot, donning a variety of Sixties-inspired outfits while lounging by a pool with her hair full of volume and eyes lined with kohl.
The dynamic celebrity also talks about her upbringing in Portland, Maine, and her parents’ amicable split when she was 15. Her mother, Janice, worked as an accountant, and her father, William, was a teacher. “I can’t stand when people assume you’re damaged because your parents got divorced,” she says. “I strongly believe in not staying together for the sake of the children. If they’re growing up in an unhealthy environment, it’s better to understand that’s not how a marriage should function.”
Violet Delight: During an interview, Miss Kendrick shared her experience of her parents’ friendly divorce when she was 16, mentioning her dislike for the assumption that it leaves you ‘broken.’
As part of the upcoming Social Issue feature, Miss Kendrick took over the ELLE Twitter account today. This task shouldn’t be too challenging for the actress, given her 2.5 million followers on Twitter. She playfully described herself as ‘Pale, awkward and very, very small.’
‘I’m in charge of the @ELLEmagazine Twitter today. It’s happening. Join me as I slowly lose my mind in public!’ she tweeted in the morning.
Her tweets included a humorous jab at the actress who graced last month’s cover: ‘So if Angelina Jolie was on the cover last month, does that mean we have to battle it out now? Is that how it goes?’
Miss Kendrick shot to stardom after her breakout role opposite George Clooney in the successful film Up In The Air, earning her an Oscar nomination. In a recent incident, an ELLE staffer tweeted about wearing Spanx in public, prompting Miss Kendrick to respond with a playful challenge. She is currently busy with seven projects, including the highly-anticipated sequel to Pitch Perfect, where she plays a college freshman joining an all-girl Capella group. Her song ‘Cups’ from the original Pitch Perfect soundtrack enjoyed a 44-week run on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart in 2013. Recently, she co-hosted Saturday Night Live with Seth Rogan and will be featured in the July issue hitting newsstands on June 24.
