In the Disney Christmas hit “Into The Woods,” she takes on the role of Cinderella. Anna Kendrick stayed true to the enchanted forest vibe by rocking a unique dress adorned with foxes at the London premiere of the film. Traveling across the Atlantic, the Twilight actress graced the screening event held at the Soho Hotel by the prestigious Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences, where she was joined by her co-stars James Corden and Daniel Huttlestone.
Animal enchantment was in the air as Anna Kendrick donned a stylish dress adorned with charming foxes for an exclusive showing of her film Into The Woods at the Soho Hotel in London last Thursday.
‘Tis the holiday season: The unique dress worn by the 29-year-old had a festive touch with its dark green and red colors. Despite a long flight, she appeared energized and embraced the Christmas spirit in her knee-length dress resembling a spruce tree, adorned with two red foxes nestled among white flowers.
Anna paired her unconventional dress with sophisticated nude high-heeled pumps and styled her brunette hair in soft waves that flowed down past her shoulders. Her makeup featured autumnal hues, with cream and subtle brown shades accentuating her eyes, complemented by black eyeliner and mascara. Her lips were painted in a lovely peachy-pink shade.
Known for her role in Pitch Perfect, the actress portrays Cinderella in Stephen Sondheim’s adaptation of the Broadway musical, a story inspired by characters from the Grimm fairy tales.
At a recent event, Anna was seen standing between 15-year-old Daniel Huttlestone, who stars as Jack, and James Corden, who portrays the Baker in the upcoming movie.
James, at 36 years old, takes on the role of the Baker, while the younger Daniel, at 15, plays Jack from the famous Beanstalk tale.
Dressed to impress, both James and Daniel were looking sharp. Daniel wore a stylish gray two-piece suit with a white shirt and a shiny dark blue tie, while James rocked a dark blue tuxedo jacket paired with a dark blue shirt and black trousers.
The cast of Into The Woods is currently busy promoting the Rob Marshall-directed film, set to premiere in the U.S. on Christmas Day and in the U.K. on January 9.
Hoping to garner some attention during awards season leading up to the Oscars, the film was recently honored with three Golden Globe nominations from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
Shoe Dilemma: Anna gives a modern spin to Cinderella in Into The Woods. The film received nods for top honors, including best picture, best actress for Emily Blunt’s role as the Baker’s Wife, and best supporting actress for Meryl Streep’s portrayal of the Witch. During an appearance on Good Morning America in New York, Anna expressed her admiration for the veteran actress. She humorously mentioned, “It almost feels redundant to praise her because, well, it’s Meryl Streep. Everyone was in awe after the table read, but no one wanted to be the first to exclaim, ‘Meryl is incredible!’ It’s like saying, ‘Oxygen is so amazing!'”
